Four young minds discussing the Future of India

Last weekend, there was a long discusssion about India, its current system and its future among four of us. Most of the guys in the town had left for a music concert...so what started as a small conversation in dinner dragged on and on till around 230 AM...it also helped that we had a very passionate member among us..(the passionate member a.k.a Maaamaaa...famous for his karate skills)...we had to sometimes rein in him...saying we are juz talking..have a glass of water....anyways no more rambling...

It all began when I said India could improve to greater heights if we bring Educated people into Administrative Posts...and Remove Corruption...my friend retorted saying that getting educated people into administrative posts is good enough. We discussed this for quite a while and were amazed and were left with no answer at how people with little or no education can run a country with huge population. (here i am referring most ly to the MPs , MLAs and CMs (a.k.a Laloo, Rabri) who are uneducated ...thankfully we have three of the most educated and worthy people in Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh and P.Chidambaram...) then the discussion kid of wandered on to the reservations, education system. Reservations and quotas led my friend to talk about reverse discrimination. I am strongly with this and i feel that our counrty is a place where minority rules the majority . this is exploited by the politicians and some sections of the population and as a result some deserving people are left out.

The discussion about education system was what really got our passionate member excited. The issue at stake was whether the educational system needs a revamp or not. There were concerns about syllabus, method of teaching, quality of staff etc.

The discussion finally went to the most important question. How will this system be cleaned. Here talks about Parithrana came up.( For people who are unaware, Paritrana is new political party founded by a bunch of guys from IIT and some others with higher degrees from the U.S. For more information on them, go to http://www.lokparitran.org/ ) Everyone accepted the blame on their part for not doing anything to improve it.There were a number of issues that came up. the prime issue was concern about one 's own life security. Almost everyone felt that the person that speaks up could be easily beaten up by a bunch of romdies. So all said and done, things alomst remained the same except that everyone felt that somehow, something needs to be done and done ASAP.
